  • Meredith Farm is privately owned and not open to the public.

  • Meredith Farm is 188 acres.

  • The farm improvements that were made from 2018 to 2022 were not done with the goal of holding events. The farm hosts a small number of private events each year. The owners are open to considering rental events for educational, agricultural, and non-profit institutions. Inquiries can be mailed to Meredith Farm, 41 Cross St., Topsfield, MA 01983.

  • Yes. The ‘honor system’ farm stand is located in the Utility, the small red building closest to Cross St.  Maple Syrup, Honey (when available, we don’t produce that much), firewood, hats, and Meredith Farm bags are available.

  • Over 2.5 miles of stone walls have been rebuilt on the property.

  • Dendrochronology has been performed on the older structures to confirm their ages; 1792 Farm House, 1793 Barn (next to silo, which was added in 1950’s), and 1806 Barn.  The 1793 Barn was rebuilt in 2021/2022, with the only original component being the original frame. The date of construction of the Ice House is not known. The main house was built in 1900. The Sugar Barn and White Building were constructed in the 1920’s or 1930’s. The Utility Hub/Farm Stand was built in 2019, The 2021 Barn, which house equipment, was built in 2021.

  • Meredith Farm has 5 solar trackers, each of which produce ~15,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year, Together, they produce ~75,000 kWh per year.  The panels move during the day to track the path of the sun.
